April 24, 2021 · 1.75″ (golf ball)

The public reported hail as large as golf balls in the East Lake area.

June 12, 2007 · 2.5″ (tennis ball)

Several reports of large hail were received from the public across eastern DeKalb county from just south of Stone Mountain to the Rockdale county line south of Lithonia. Quarter-sized hail reports in the Lithonia area were common, with one report of golf ball to tennis ball-sized hail.

February 21, 2005 · 2.0″ (hen egg)

An employee of the DeKalb County Water Department reported that hail ranging in size from pennies to greater than golf ball, on the order of 2.0 inches in diameter fell.
