Quarter size hail reported around the Hensley Rd and Penfield Rd area.

May 20, 2008 · 2.0″ (hen egg)

The public reported hen egg or 2.00 inch diameter hail in the Veazey area of southern Greene county. Radar supported that hail up to this size may well have continued further east toward Siloam.

March 15, 2008 · 1.75″ (golf ball)

The Greene County Emergency Management Director reported that golf ball-sized hail covered the ground along the north shores of Lake Oconee in southern Greene county. Similar hail was observed on the Putnam county side of the lake as well. The public reported half-dollar-sized hail in the same area.
