Severe thunderstorm dropped 0.75 inch hail.

Most of the hail stones measured from 1.25 to 1.75 inches. A few hail stones measured as large as 2.25 inches.

June 30, 1998 · 2.0″ (hen egg)

A severe thunderstorm plowed through the county during the mid afternoon hours. Trees and wires were first downed in the Fremont area around 230 pm EDT. Then from just before 3 pm until about 310 pm, widespread wind damage in the form of downed trees and power lines was experienced in the Bath, Campbell, and Hornby areas.
