November 23, 2025 · 1.0″ (quarter)

A video was shared by the public on social media of nickel to quarter-size hail covering the side of the road and in grassy areas along FM 2371 west of Andrews. The time of occurrence is estimated from radar.

June 4, 1995 · 4.5″ (grapefruit)

Two LP supercell thunderstorms developed in northern Gaines County, both travelling across the community of Loop. The first storm had hail up to golf ball-size as it crossed Loop, and the second storm had hail up to softball-size and wind gusts to 60 mph. Cars and roofs in the area that had sustained extensive damage from a storm on May 29th had not yet been repaired.
