Local broadcast media relayed a report of ping pong ball size hail near Levelland.

A photograph on social media depicted a hailstone 40 minutes after falling south of Anton. The hailstone was still five inches in diameter at the time of retrieval.

Numerous storm chasers reported a long lived swath of giant hail from approximately eight miles south of Pep through three miles south of Smyer. Near the beginning of this swath of hail along Farm to Market 303 near Petit, a storm chaser relayed a video of hail that measured five inches in diameter.
